All of our web pages have been updated as of March 10, 2010. A new "Diorama Items" page has been added as well. New arrivals include Armorscale Barrels, Bison Decals, Hudson & Allen Studios & Tasca items. Updates are posted below or pending.

Also, RB Model Barrels, more Hudson & Allen Diorama items, Hussar Productions, Aber Photo-etch and the last items for Tiger Model Designs are on order. Updates will be posted upon their arrival.

Stock Update :

The web site accurately reflects our current stock as of March 10, 2010, so you know what we do and don't have. Each item is now identified individually as "Sold Out" or "In Stock" in the Stock Status column. You will also notice (hopefully) that more items have images attached to them. This way you can verify what you are ordering.

	The second last restock of Accessories, Detail Sets and Conversions & Resin kits has been posted. We will be doing one more order from Tiger Model Designs before they cease business at the end of March 2010. Order what you need NOW before its GONE!!
	More Vallejo Model Air colours are in stock.
	New Photo-etch sets from E.T. Model are in stock.
	We have finally posted some of the new stock of photo-etched items from Orange Hobby. Images will follow shortly along with tow cables and gun barrels.

The default shipping method is AIRMAIL. Be aware that the average weight of a small box and packing is 150g.

International/USA shipping rates depicted above do NOT include tracking numbers... once the package is shipped, it is no longer the responsibility of The Barrel Store. If tracking is desired, the item must be shipped as Parcel Post.

* Shipments over 1kg to the US will be shipped Parcel Post... usually starting at $23 CAD. *

Insurance may be requested but will result in the package being deemed a PARCEL by Canada Post... costs increase dramatically.

Customs declarations will be indicated as the total dollar value of items purchased (not including shipping). Please do not request a reduced declaration as it is illegal and unethical. We do not and will not conduct business that way.

	*Do you have a store?* The Barrel Store is an eCommerce enterprise. As such it does not have a store front. The prices are low because there is no "overhead" associated. The store does consist of about 1200 square feet of space... mainly racks of inventory. *How do I order?* Several methods are available... the preferred method is the ONLINE ORDER FORM. The form is available at the top and bottom of each product page. Alternatively you can use the FAX ORDER FORM (also available on the top and bottom of each product page)... simply fill out the form on your PC and fax it to the store. As well, you are invited to call your order in... but be aware that the phone is answered in the evenings only (Eastern Standard Time). Also feel free to email your order... particularly if your credit card information is already on file. The last option is to place an order (phone or email), determine availability and total cost, and pay with a MONEY ORDER or PAYPAL. This will cause a delay in shipping until the money order or PAYPAL funds notification arrives. *Is the online order form safe?* Yes. The secure order form is encrypted at the source (when you submit the order) and is decrypted at the store. *How is the exchange rate calculated?* The credit card companies will perform the exchange calculations and present them on your statement. If you are paying with a money order, you will be asked to pay in $CAN or $US (your bank will help in determining the exchange rate). *If there is no picture for an item, does it mean it is out of stock?* Absolutely not! It just means no picture is readily available, or we have been to lazy to get one (most likely the case). *Why don't you carry diorama buildings?* We do now! Selected buildings are coming into stock. Check our "Diorama Items" page once it is posted. Do remember that plaster or resin building kits are very heavy and also quite fragile. Heaviness equates to bulk and bulk equates to expensive shipping. Just so you know...... *Why do parcels seem to take so long to ship?* This is the $64,000 question. It would seem logical that using airmail should mean a maximum of 4 days anywhere in the world... Unfortunately this in not the case. Experience has shown it is the norm to expect a 2 week shipping period... please remember that the parcel is handled by, and subjected to, multiple postal services and customs procedures. One parcel to Italy took 8 weeks to arrive... this is an exception, but caused quite a bit of concern. *Why is insurance so expensive?* Canada Post will only insure Regular Parcels... which of course have a rate schedule of their own... usually twice that of the Small Packet rates. The bulk (95%) of shipments are classified as small packets... hence a reasonable shipping charge. *Why does no-one answer the phone when I call?* Please be aware that store hours are deemed as 6 pm - 10 pm on weekdays except Wednesday and 10 am - 5 pm on weekends. You are invited to leave a message, but the best mechanism for communication is via email. *Do you have a Toll Free number?* You can call toll free in North America at 1-877-455-7997. (top)
